Pour The Perfect Pint and Win a Free Keg

In our mission to find the best pint pourer in Britain, we’re launching a competition that gives away a 50L keg to a master bartender who can pour the perfect pint!

The humble pint is a standard part of British culture and has been since the 17^th century, but prior to pints and pint glasses, pub-goers would tend to prefer to drink from tankards and then, following the bubonic plague, there was a shift to lidded steins.

However, with the various different measures to which ale and beer were being served, the Act for the Ascertaining the Measures for Retailing Ale and Beer was brought in under William III, and the British pint was born.

There have been some questionable pints out there that have done the rounds on social media, even making their way on to front page news so to celebrate International Beer day, and of course the British pint, here at LWC Drinks we are seeking out the venue who can pour the perfect pint in Britain.

Our panel of expert pint-pourers will look at the entries and the winner will not only be crowned the perfect pint pourer but will also be gifted a free 50L keg of their choice.* Now, want to know how to enter?

1. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “The Promoter” refers to LWC Drinks Ltd (company no. 07677007) whose registered office is at Greenside Way, Chadderton, Manchester, M24 1SW.
2. The “Prize” refers to a 1 x 50L Keg which has a maximum value of £155.
3. The prize cannot be used alongside other offers.
4. LWC Drinks will not be able to conduct an install and therefore the keg of choice must already be on tap.
5. The competition is open to LWC Drinks customers of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years and over.
6. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
7. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are above and on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn or TikTok.
8. Only one entry will be accepted per person/ venue. Multiple entries from the same person will not be accepted.
9. The closing date for entry will be 1 pm GMT on 19^th August 2022. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
10. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
11. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: 1. Pour a pint. 2. Take a picture of this pint and upload it to social media. 3. Hashtag #LWCDrinks #PourThePerfectPint.
12. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
13. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
14. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
15. Winners will be chosen by LWC staff who work specifically within the beer category.
16. The winner will be notified by social media and this winner will be announced.
17. The winner will only ever be contacted by @LWCDrinksLtd If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within five days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
18. The promoter will send the keg alongside the next available order that has been placed by the venue.
19. The physical keg remains the property of LWC Drinks Ltd can and it is only the liquid inside the keg that is the prize.
20. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
21. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
22. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
23. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

25. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
