LWC Drinks Welcomes Over 500 New Business Partners since Reopening of On-Trade

LWC Drinks

With much of the hospitality trade on its way to fully reopening, LWC Drinks, the UK’s largest independent drinks wholesaler has experienced exceptional growth already, welcoming over 500 new business partners since the partial reopening of the on-trade in April.

Though much of its core business has been closed through 2020, LWC has continued to invest in its infrastructure and workforce; opening a 173,000 square foot, £12.5m distribution centre and Hub in Chadderton and has continued to advance its recruitment drives across numerous departments.

With 14 depots across the country, delivering over 12,000 products to over 13,000 customers, the return of the on-trade puts the specialist drinks wholesaler in a strong position as they expect record customer demand amid the challenging trading environment caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Leveraging its impressive delivery and supply network, LWC carries over 8000 product lines across the range, ensuring customers can order all that they need – in one order, from one supplier.

Working to streamline the ordering process, the company has also recently begun the integration of its market-leading Warehouse Management System, which is expected to improve levels of service and customer experience through accurate and reliable delivery.

Supporting a Range of Customers

One customer who has already seen the benefits of LWC’s increased investment and the first-class service the company prides itself on is the Crooked Spire in Devon.

They said: “With a grand reopening for our community pub planned for 17th May, we were hugely disappointed when our existing supplier couldn’t deliver.  If it wasn’t for LWC stepping and saving the day, all our hard work over the last year would have been undone and we’d have been dealt a disappointing blow if we weren’t able to open on time, especially after such a difficult year due to the pandemic.

LWC were quick and efficient, getting our account set up in no time at all and we’re hugely impressed with the service so far. They have really shown us how much they support the backbone of the independent pub trade and we would highly recommend LWC to other independent pubs across the industry.”

LWC prides itself on building excellent working relationships with a whole range of customers. Following a difficult trading year for many, Student Unions across the country have also seen the benefits of working with LWC, with York University stating: “Just wanted to pass on my genuine thanks for LWC’s flexibility in accommodating a same-day order due to our teething issues getting used to the new ordering system. LWC quite literally have saved our bacon.”

“It’s so refreshing to work with a supplier who is prepared to go the extra mile to help us out. On behalf of the thousands of thirsty students here at York, thanks so much!”
