Welsh Rugby Legend, Jonathan Davies
Opens LWC Glamorgan
We are excited to announce that yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 24th September) Welsh rugby legend, Jonathan Davies formally cut the red tape on LWC's new distribution centre in Tonyrefail - a major investment in South Wales and a key milestone in LWC’s continued commitment to supporting the UK hospitality sector.
Spanning 42,402 sq. ft., the new site replaces Glamorgan's previous depot and significantly enhances our ability to serve pubs, bars, restaurants, and venues across the region. With increased capacity, improved logistics, and a broader product range, the depot is designed to meet the evolving needs of our customers and support long-term growth in the area.
The opening marks the next chapter in our partnership with the former wholesale arm of Glamorgan Brewing Company, which joined the LWC family in 2024. Since then, the Glamorgan team has continued to operate with its trademark local spirit, now backed by LWC’s national infrastructure and expertise.
“This isn’t about changing what makes Glamorgan special,” said Ebrahim Mukadam, Managing Director at LWC. “It’s about backing it. We’re here to support the team, the customers, and the community - and this new depot gives us the space and tools to do that even better.”
The new site has already created over 30 new roles, with further recruitment underway. In total, the depot is expected to support close to 100 jobs locally, reinforcing our commitment to regional investment and career development within the drinks and hospitality industry.
Beyond business, the Glamorgan team continues to lead with heart. For over a decade, they’ve supported Velindre Cancer Centre, raising thousands of pounds through golf days, bike rides, raffles, and fundraising challenges. That partnership remains a proud part of our identity in South Wales.
“Glamorgan has always had a strong sense of pride and purpose,” said Richard Anstee, of LWC Glamorgan. “This new site reflects that spirit and sets us up for an exciting future. We’re proud to be part of the community and to support the businesses that make Welsh hospitality so special.”
We’re constantly recruiting, with current vacancies for a Telesales Manager, Brand Activation Manager, and ongoing driver recruitment, and are keen to hear from passionate people looking to grow with us.”
The opening event featured speeches, a depot tour, and a celebration of the team’s achievements, with guests from across the hospitality sector in attendance.
