LWC is the UK’s largest independent drinks wholesaler, supplying a wide range of beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks.

Founded in 1979 by the Gray and Mukadam families, we’ve grown from a small start-up in Manchester to a national leader in the drinks industry – but we’re still proudly rooted in our family values.

Today, we support more than 15,500 customers through 18 depots across the UK, backed by a flexible delivery network operating up to seven days a week. We pride ourselves on delivering best-in-class service, deep industry knowledge, and an unmatched product range – all shaped by a customer-first mindset.

We combine the scale of a national distributor with the personal service of a local business. Our decentralised model means our customers work directly with their local depot – teams who understand their region, their community, and their market.

From the rural roads of Cornwall and Hereford, to the bustling streets of London and Manchester, we know our patches and take pride in being part of the communities we serve.

Independence is at the heart of what sets us apart. Our zero listing fees give us complete impartiality in the products we recommend​. We buy on behalf of our customers and curate the best range to suit each individual business.​

With more than 40 years in the trade - including running our own 40+ strong pub group - we understand the drinks market from both sides of the bar. Our Account Managers, Brand Activation Managers and Wine Development Managers work closely with customers to grow sales, solve challenges and offer the right support at the right time.

This commitment to training means every touchpoint with LWC – from your account manager to your delivery driver – is backed by knowledge and care. We don’t just drop off orders, we help optimise stock, suggest new products, and share insights to keep our customers one step ahead.

Innovating for the future

We may have a long heritage, but we’re always looking forward. LWC continually innovates to stay ahead of industry trends and better serve our customers. We’ve recently upgraded our warehouse management systems (WMS) and invested in a modernised delivery fleet – all to boost reliability, accuracy, and speed in getting orders to you.

But innovation for us goes beyond operations; it’s also in the products we offer. We partner with cutting-edge breweries and wineries to bring exciting new products to market.

In 2025, we teamed up with Wales’s largest craft brewer, Tiny Rebel, to launch Coal Drop Stout – a smooth, sessionable stout created exclusively for our on-trade customers​. And when alcohol duty changes challenged the market, we innovated with the exclusive KAMINA 8% wine range, a line of lower-ABV South African wines developed to provide quality taste at a duty-friendly price​. These are just two examples of how we listen to what consumers want and help our customers stay ahead with unique, in-demand products.
