LWC Strengthens North West and North Wales Presence Through Partnership with Wigan Beer and Keegan’s
LWC Drinks is delighted to announce the acquisition of Wigan Beer Company, a long-established and highly respected drinks wholesaler serving pubs, bars, restaurants and hospitality venues across the North West. As part of the agreement, Wigan Beer’s Keegan’s operation in Holyhead also becomes part of the LWC family.
The acquisition, which completed on 1st August 2026, marks another important step in LWC’s commitment to strengthening its service, reach and operational capability across the UK.
Bringing together three businesses with deep local roots and a shared passion for exceptional customer service, the partnership will enhance LWC’s ability to support hospitality operators across the North West and North Wales, combining trusted local relationships with the scale, infrastructure and extensive product portfolio of a national wholesaler.

Looking Ahead
For the remainder of 2026, both Wigan Beer and Keegan’s will continue to operate from their existing sites, ensuring continuity for customers and colleagues.
From 2027, LWC will look to integrate the Wigan Beer operation into its Knowsley and Leyland depots, while Keegan’s will continue to operate from its Holyhead site for the foreseeable future.
