Wine Director Shaun Healy has been in the wine trade for over 24 Years.
With an early passion with wine, Shaun spent many years working for cash and carry specialists Nurdin & Peacock. In 1987 Shaun joined Phillips Newman and developed a role supplying a range of wines, beers and spirits to a number of "On–Trade" accounts throughout the UK. His role over that period also took in the position of sourcing wines from all over the world, working closely with wine makers and brand owners.
Holder of the WSET Diploma - Shaun has been purchasing wines for LWC Limited during the last 3 years and in this time he has been able to visit a number of important wine regions, looking to introduce new wines that are typical of their area and represent quality and great value, so he can add them to our best ever range! Shaun states "Meeting the vineyard owners , wine makers and négociants we are now able to present you with an excellent choice and are assured that the quality from the range of wines introduced to your business will enhance your trade as we continue to see the wine category enjoy substantial growth in the UK's On–Trade".
The head of wine development for our 2 Midlands depots is James Gillespie.
Holder of the WSET Diploma, James has almost 25 years full-time experience in many areas of the UK wine trade. In addition to his current work in the On–Trade for LWC, James has his own fine wine shop in the Midlands and speaks and judges at many different wine-related events. He is much travelled and known throughout the wine regions of the world and has what can only be called encyclopedic knowledge and unbounded enthusiasm for the subject.
As this list goes to press we have learnt that he is one of 4 nominees shortlisted for Wine and Spirits "UK Wine Hero Competition" 2006/2007.
The head of wine development for the North West of England. Marc joined LWC over 12 months ago, advising restaurants, gastro pubs, hotels and general customers on our wine offerings with his objective of maximising wine sales in your establishment. For the last 10 years Marc has worked advising both the retail and the corporate customers of Oddbins (part of Castel, France's largest wine retailer), where he developed corporate business to a level only matched in their London outlets. He now looks forward to visiting you soon to discuss, advise and build working relationships based round our new 2008/2009 offerings.
